Biography...

Pat Ryan has been singing in Folk Clubs since she was 15. Since 1990 she has been accompanied by Ken Howard, who plays Guitar, Bazouki, Cittern and Octave Mandola.

They have been booked at Clubs and Festivals in England, Scotland and Australia, including: Sidmouth, Towersey, Fylde and The National Festival in Canberra. They have appeared on BBC TV and National and Local Radio.

At each club and festival they have appeared at, they have received critical acclaim for the quality of Pat’s voice, their arrangements of the songs and their easy manner with the audience. They sing and play traditional material, self-penned and contemporary songs with a traditional arrangement.

Pat and Ken have always enjoyed playing with other musicians.
On Pat’s first 2 LPs she was backed by Phil Beer, Paul Downs, Chris Parkinson and Chris Pollington.


On their recent CDs, Pat and Ken have worked with Chris While, Julie Matthews, Nick Keir, Bernard Wrigley and members of Australian band, Colcannon.
Pat and Ken were members of the trio Tall Stories for six years.
For two years, Pat was Song Director for Sidmouth International Folk Festival.
In 2004 Pat and Ken had their first tour of Australia and sang in Adelaide, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and St Albans.

Pat and Ken’s new CD will be released in March 2006
